Welcome to the School of Chemical Sciences (SCS), IIT Mandi. Our School is home to a vibrant group of 11 faculty members, more than 60 research scholars, around 100 Master’s students, and several dedicated staff members. We aim to achieve excellence in teaching and research through innovative academic programs and state-of-the-art research initiatives. Our faculty research interests span subfields of organic, inorganic, physical, materials, polymer, and biological chemistry; more details can be found on individual faculty web pages. Over the years, we have established excellent research infrastructure for experimental and theoretical research in Chemical Sciences. The School encourages interdisciplinary research and our faculties have established active research collaborations within India and abroad. Currently, we offer M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Chemistry. The School is also planning to start BS-MS degree in Chemistry soon. We welcome highly enthusiastic students, researchers and teachers to join us on our serene and beautiful campus and be a part of our journey to scale the heights.
