About the Program

Message from the Coordinators:

Welcome to the B.Tech. in “Chemical Engineering with Data Analytics” at IIT Mandi–a pioneering undergraduate program launched in 2026 under the School of Chemical Sciences (SCS). As one of the first programs of its kind in India, it has been designed to prepare the next generation of engineers for a future where chemical engineering, computation, artificial intelligence, and data-driven decision-making converge.

The B.Tech. program seamlessly integrates the strong fundamentals of chemical engineering with modern computational techniques and data analytics. Alongside core chemical engineering principles, students will develop expertise in process modeling and simulation, machine learning, optimization, computational methods, and advanced data analysis. This unique blend of engineering and data science equips graduates with the ability to address complex challenges in sustainable manufacturing, energy, materials, pharmaceuticals, process industries, and emerging technology sectors.
